West Atlanta Watershed Alliance’s COVID-19 Statement
As stewards of three of West Atlanta’s most prominent greenspaces and their associated trails, we are happy to see families, children, and furry friends on the trails despite the recent COVID-19 pandemic. However, we are taking cautious steps to prevent the spread of the virus and we ask that you do the same.

Please enjoy the trails safely by following the guidance of city, state, and federal officials prior to and while enjoying the greenspaces.

  • Be sure to remain home if you are showing symptoms of illness.
  • Limit your group gatherings to 10 people or less.
  • Maintain a 6-foot distance from others.
  • Keep your hands clean and sanitize!
  • #leavenotrace by throwing away any litter you may accumulate.

During this time, WAWA has also postponed many of our spring events including O-STEAM (in collaboration with Atlanta Science Festival), Urban Forest Festival, and the Spring Break O-Academy. We are offering online programming including an online O-Academy next week, and we are looking forward to seeing you at future events once it is safe to gather in large numbers again.

We have also closed the Outdoor Activity Center to the public, but we welcome you to enjoy the OAC trails from Pinehurst Terrace SW or Gaston Street SW (following appropriate social distancing of course)!

Stay well!
