Get Involved

WAWA provides a number of diverse volunteer opportunities for West Atlanta residents, youth, and others from all over the Atlanta Metropolitan Area who interested in helping to improve environmental quality and quality of life in West Atlanta. Volunteer opportunities range from participating in creek clean-clean-ups and weekly, monthly, or quarterly water quality monitoring to volunteering at community festivals, in the office, or at urban forestry service days and community education programs at the Outdoor Activity Center, Cascade Springs Nature Preserve, or the Lionel Hampton-Beecher Hills Park. No matter the age or stage in life, there’s something available for everyone’s interest, skill level, and physical ability.

WAWA hosts a Service Learning Saturday the first Saturday of every month except for the months of January and July.  The event runs from 10 AM to 1 PM, and all are welcome to help with trail maintenance, invasive plant removal, and native plant installation.
